Brown Sapphire
Sapphire is the most popular member of the gemstone species corundum and is available in a rainbow of exciting “fancy” colors such as brown! Brown sapphires are somewhat rare and range from soft khaki to medium whiskey to deep tobacco. Some gems have distinctive reddish or orangish undertones. These unusual sapphires are most commonly seen in round or oval shapes and are mostly found in sizes under 4 carats. Sapphires are very durable, making them a perfect alternative to diamonds for engagement rings. Sapphire is the birthstone for those born in September and is designated for the 5th and 45th wedding anniversaries.
