Green tourmalines range in shades from pale icy mint to medium mossy green to deep hunter green and everything in between. The name tourmaline has its origins in the Sinhalese word “turamali” which translates as “stone of mixed colors” due to the unique spectrum of hues it occurs in. Most widely known are the greens and pinks. Tourmalines are designated as the October birthstone and for the 8th wedding anniversary.
