This lively quartz does not have the orange or brown undertones found in citrine. Occurring in pure lemon yellow to a lime (green-yellow), this citrusy variety has been colored by controlled irradiation of colorless quartz and can range from a soft tint to a vibrant tone. Most commonly seen in larger sizes as the color is less obvious in smaller stones.
